Is Elkins Build Group licensed and insured?
Yes. Elkins Build Group LLC holds California contractor license #1002636 with the Contractors State License Board, licensed since 2014, and carries general liability insurance of $1 million per occurrence and $2 million aggregate.
Who will actually be working on my house?
Elkins Build Group is the licensed general contractor of record, and every trade, from framing to electrical to plumbing, is a licensed specialist carrying general liability insurance, working under our contract. We schedule them, inspect their work, handle any permits and inspections, and you have one point of contact the whole way.
How will I know what is happening on my project?
Every client gets a private project dashboard with the timeline, current stage, job photos, plans, selections, messages and a progress report every Friday.
Do I need a permit for my remodel?
Only when the work calls for it. If plumbing, gas, electrical or walls move, a permit is required and we pull it and schedule every inspection. A Cosmetic Upgrade that keeps the layout and utilities where they are often does not need a permit.
